January 2005 – Attended a presentation about "It’s Our River Day" presented at Starved Rock Lodge by the Illinois River Coordinating Council chaired by Lt Gov Pat Quinn. JBC offered to staff a registration desk for a bike ride along the river if LIB or some other group could chair the event.

April 2005- Chicago Bike Show

April 2005 – Submitted press release to local newspapers containing Spring Riding announcement.

April-June-July 2005 – Submitted Newspaper press releases for all three Invitational Rides.

June 2005 – Attended a Township meeting in Plattville to acknowledge and address official's concerns regarding the safety factors of bicyclists sharing township roads with vehicles. The Club also sought permission to use Plattville Park for the July 4th Invitational Ride.  Bike Bill # 2390 was discussed, a vote was taken by officials and permission was given.

July 2005 – 13 children from Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Will County received bicycles and helmets after writing essays about bicycling. Members of JBC were present when the bicycles were handed out by Denny at the Ski and Bike Chalet. The children and JBC members took a short bike ride and celebrated with a weenie roast.

August 2005 – Participated in Manhattan Cub Scout Pack 155’s Bike Rodeo. JBC members staffed the Bicycle Safety Inspection Area and handed out Club literature. Approximately 70 children attended.
